Ability to Benefit (“ATB”) Testing
SACC offers summer and winter academic interventions for students who need to re-take one or more ATB tests. ATB (Ability to Benefit) tests in reading comprehension, sentence skills, and arithmetic are required for New York State residents who wish to qualify for a New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) grant and whose existing academic records do not meet requirements for demonstrating the ability to benefit from postsecondary instruction. For more information on ATB testing and TAP eligibility, visit the Office of Testing and Evaluation and Office of Financial Aid Services. If you have already taken the ATB test and you have failed one or more of them, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for information about preparing to retest.
